· I received the book and I found it to be enlightening as well as clear and very well organized. I really liked the way that sources were noted for theories presented. It was also meaningful to me to see the dedication to Dr. and Mrs. Mandelbaum A"H, as Dr. Mandelbaum was my father's Rebbe in Bais Yehuda in Detroit and he indeed sparked a lifetime love of learning in my father, Rabbi Ephraim Rubin, who went on to learn under Reb Aharon Kotler ZT"L in Lakewood.
The List really solidifies the theory behind the new approach we implemented in our school for translating Passukim in Chumash and Navi. I hope that I will be able to implement some of the ideas discussed to continue building a core vocabulary in the classrooms as well as for individual students. Thank you for your assistance.

· After having administered the Rabbi Aichenbaum’s Chumash Vocabulary Test to our elementary school students, the need for further development of our Hebrew Vocabulary curriculum was ever more apparent. Based on the philosophy and methodology of the program created by Rabbis Aichenbaum and Freeman, we put together a Chumash Vocabulary Program for Torah Prep School, entitled Master Milim Faster. As we enter the second year of the program, we anticipate continued success and increased mastery of the vocabulary words. We are grateful for your innovative ideas and clear presentation of the material, particularly the emphasis you place on over-learning and review, as we have been inspired to progress in this vital area of Judaic studies.

The goal of our curriculum is that by the time the Talmidim reach the 5th or 6th grades the Chumash itself can be read with great fluency which then gives plenty more time in the years to come to focus on Rashi and more in depth Chumash learning. I was inspired to tackle this after a workshop by Rabbi Aichenbaum and Rabbi Freeman at a TU convention 3 years ago. It gave me the entire framework in which I based the entire curriculum. I recently bought Rabbi Aichenbaum's new book "The List." It’s an indispensable tool for teaching Chumash.

Wow!...GEVALDIG!!! It is such a tremendous work that you and Rabbi Freeman have done! It would take me too long to extol all of its virtues. I know from teaching that it is often assumed that students know certain things, e.g. what 'translate' means, what a 'prefix' and 'suffix' is, etc. etc. How wonderful that you explain what each is and encourage the teacher to teach these concepts to the students. The precision is wonderful...so many workbooks spell בן with a segol in the semichus form, whereas your workbook is precise. ...AND you give alternate translations, such as "(old)". Boruch v'hatzlochoh!
